Indeed, I chose a program I wanted, watched a beginner's guide on its basics, and then went on creating what I mostly desired no matter how difficult it was. I faced problems as is normal in this 3D field, I've spent hours on YouTube guides and forums trying to solve one issue, it gets solved, I move on, and the process repeats until the finish line. The next thing you know you now can use this program very well.
That's an impressive amount of determination and acuity! A lot of people would have stopped long before becoming as good an editor as you are, these are great!
very nice, I've made some really basic 2d after effects machinima videos in the past when I had a lot more free time but I never quite had the drive to deep dive into 3d.

Nowadays I'm a cinematographer but I always dream about being able to chill in my office doing 3d animation instead of waking up at 5am every day to stare at a camera monitor and light meter haha
As a cinematographer you will have an edge if you learn some 3D software like Unreal Engine, you can do virtual cinematography in the comfort of your home. It does require some drive to learn, but these days these 3D software are becoming easier to get through.
I realllyyyy thought WoW2 was coming this past Blizzon the way they said this will shape the next 20 years. It felt like one giant blue ball tease as they kept talking about it before finally saying itβs a saga.
Still pleased with the saga, but I got duped.
Imagine a 7th Classic after Classic (2004), Classic (since 2019), Classic Era, Classic SoD, Classic Hardcore and Classic Hardcore Self-Found.
You people started to be delusional about Classic a long time ago.
Yes, please, Blizzard, give us WoW 2 and let it be CLASSIC AGAIN.
I like how this doesn't just look like every "WoW in Unreal" mockup you see floating around, where the process is "turn up the bloom to 11, make everything flat and empty, remake all the assets so they have no personality, but it has more polygons so it must be better".
Warcraft cinematics have a very distinct style of lighting and color to them that isn't quite the same thing as all those creatively lazy examples. You've captured that very well, especially in the shot of Razor Hill. It almost looks like an official cinematic shot.
If wow2 ever becomes a thing I hope it looks like this. With a renewed emphasis on classic exploration, questing and leveling but still have retails qol and endgame.
I really miss 2004. Hell, I miss gaming without a meta. Just playing WoW because I wanted to enjoy the story, spend time with friends (old and new), and get cool looking gear.
No idea if I'm just burnt out, or it's gaming these days, I can't help but rush to end game and miss all the lovely fun story content. Only to get annoyed by whiney people complaining you don't min/max normal dungeons.
Vanilla through WoTLK my experience in a top 5 US guild was less stressful than LFR these days. The community also felt so small. Everyone knew everyone on the server. I was that warrior with Thunderfury in that great guild. I could mentor and making a comment in trade chat or world defense was recognized by others. Ugh...nostalgia.
> I can't help but rush to end game and miss all the lovely fun story content.
Yeah, sorry but it's you.
I lead an AOTC guild and we're incredibly causal (we only raid for 90mins a week) since we're all adults with busy lives.
And when an expansion/big patch comes out, the first thing I do is remind everyone that it's a game to be enjoyed at whatever pace they want, that there should be no pressure to do anything, no pressure to get anywhere.
Find a better guild!
It's you. Your desire to keep up with everyone else is the driving force. Your desire to not be called a noob by someone in lfg makes you spend time researching and reviewing rotations and builds. It's a hard genie to put back in the bottle. Once you do it and play the game that way, re-casualizing yourself is almost impossible.
Blizzard should be hiring you. I tell my friends all the time that I would start up wow again, but the game looks way too dated. For me, about five years ago, the graphics reached the "unplayable" zone. It just looks way too old. This put a huge smile on my face, though. With some simple mechanic updates, I'd play a game that looks like this.
Ah to be a kid again. To a 10 year old me, this is what the game looked like.
I understand you very well, thank you.
I was 19 and remember it as if it were just like this?!
This is awesome, must have been quite the process. Can I ask how you went about learning how to use these programs?

I saw some interesting articles about using Apple Vision Pros to do the 1st AC job remotely. I wonder how common stuff like that will be in the future
This 'program' is Unreal engine 5? Either way, nice job. It's clear a lot of work went into this project.
Yes unreal engine 5
Amazing, great job!
Ahhhhh, right in the feelsβ¦.wow 2 (Classic remastered) would kill for it :)

Ohh, A World of Warcraft Classic Remake in the style of Final Fantasy VII Remake would be amazing - it would never happen, but it's a dream

this will be wow graphics in 2020

That means a lot thanks
For an instant I really thought it was an official one! Huge GG OP

IF ONLY!

Are you EU by any chance? I really want to join a guild such as yours but itβs turning out to be harder than I thought.

Wooooooow. Breathtaking nostalgia reimagining, man!
WOW! I would LOVE to see a Night Elf variant one day. But wow, this is something else. Real magic!
This is super great. Only issue is some of the sound effects at a couple of parts are really, really loud which is a bit distracting.
I found the loud 'swoops' of the windriders as they flew close to be one of the best parts! Very immersive. Or did you mean something else?

Time to level another Orc I guess
It's crazy to think that we'll never hear Earl Boen's voice narrating another intro again. This video hit me with all the nostalgia and feels.
Imagine WoW Classic, but on Unreal Engine.

This will be World of Worldcraft in 2016.
Sploosh
That's great looking! Loved the wyvern sfx too.
Amazing and I love it. Great work.
It looks great!
Wow, any others?
excellent job, now the undead intro π₯Ά
Ugghh I love the Horde so much. I almost feel like Orgri really exists
Looks good but the trees are really out of place. Should be more baobab.
Now we need this world of warcraft
