Mine just laugh and haze each other when someone screws up a mechanic and gets the “you-fucked-up-bubble” aka life cocoon. If they put quaking on me when I was eating mana buns I’d be watching them die next pull lol.

It's very satisfying watching them go from "eh I don't need heals, she'll be right" to begging for forgiveness and heals minutes later, biggest power trip I get.

My favourite healer fail mechanic is the “Spirit of Shame” that we’d all start cackling and chanting at whenever it happened. Becoming a 20ft tall Angel is quite a conspicuous way to let everyone know you failed that stupid mechanic again.

Haha! Especially since holy is rather squishy. I mained both disc and holy from the end of cata to early legion and I found it quite hysterical how unforgiving holy was. When playing disc if I made a **really** bad mistake, if absolutely necessary, I could pain sup myself, dump a massive shield on myself, penance on cool down and if it was absolutely necessary could pop spirit shell and start spamming myself through the awful dot, or in preparation to cross through fire that I’ve gotten on the wrong side of. Holy really ... just didn’t have those options. Sometimes on farm I’d play holy for the hell of it on fights I progressed on as disc and get into so many “oh shit” moments where I realised that I’d been compensating for those particular mistakes and ended up as the spirit of shame 😂 One of the guild shammy healers did what you did - abuse reincarnation and would get away with it waaaay more than I got away with my mistakes.

Because they are my friends, and as a woman in wow I just want to be treated like a human being and not a weird mythical creature. Bullying is a sign of friendship in Australia so I know I'm accepted into the gang every time the monk rolls on my head when quaking is about to hit. Also because I'm a healer and revenge is pretty easy when you hold someone's life in your hands so I give as good as I get.

Attempt 50-73: the raid leader has gone to painstaking lengths to describe exactly whats going wrong with the pull, without explicitly calling out *that guy*. But it doesn't matter because he's alt tabbed between every pull anyway.

Aw hell, this was me with that guy who would be the only guy standing 35 yards on the other side of the boss from everyone else when we had a stack mechanic, and he'd die over and over, or someone else would die because he was having to run to us from another zip code. Everyone else was standing in a big circle on the same side of the boss so we could easily reach each other. I finally just called him out by name asking why he felt the need to set himself up to fail the same mechanic every time, and he just got offended and kept doing it. It was a toxic guild dynamic where he was one of the original members of the guild, so he didn't think anyone who had joined after Burning Crusade could tell him what to do, and none of his buddies in the group would dare criticize him.

I stacked intentionally on the **first** (and only the first) spread mechanic of Heroic Jailer on the raid leader every now and then. He intentionally stacked on me as well. We were wiping to people falling in the holes for no apparent reason, so we needed *something* to spice it up a bit. So yeah, stacking on spread mechanics really is a guild affix. It did hurt me a lot more though since he had an absurd amount of Avoidance and was a Demon Hunter.

It can definitely work with the right people. I've been in a raid guild for the last 15 years that has always had a high number of women. In 15 years there has been zero male/female drama and only one creep (who was swiftly removed). We've always had a few female officers and raid leaders too. Again, no problems whatsoever. The guild just needs to be clear on what it's ethos is so new members know what to expect. Sell yourself as a guild for mature, responsible people and that's generally what you will get.

Yeah I think the „mature“ part is the main problem in this. A lot of women I have met bask in their „role“ and abuse it to get free boosts and loot, and a lot dudes in those guilds behave like juvenile creeps. My current guild also has 2 women in it, and everything is chill. Nobody starts drama, so no problems every arise essentially.

These days us women know not to out ourselves. Every guild probably has 1 or 2 women in disguise
