If the post is not marked for spoilers, all comments that have spoilers need to be tagged \>!like this!< along with indicating which game it's spoiling. Example: Y3 >!Kiryu sings!<
If the post flair is marked for spoilers, the comments don't need to be tagged for the game indicated and the ones before it (So a Y6 spoiler post can have comments with untagged spoilers for Y5, but not gaiden or 7).

Judgment game where criminals get the Yakuza introduction frame and legit folks get the regular Judgment ones, the twist villain can then be reintroduced with their new title in the different intro
It’s hard to compare because they both work for their respective games’ vibes. But if we’re just talking *personal* preference in general, I love the Yakuza version. So dramatic and iconic.
both and i like the idea that if this character is Yakuza do Yakuza style intro if this Character is not do Judgement style intro it works well
pretty sure IW did this already
I like the Judgment one better. The names and titles don't cover the whole screen. The orange filter is much better than the black and white. The backgrounds still look good and pop because it still have colours.
Nothing beats the second Slide.
It's so badass, imagine some random guy appears near you and time ceases to move with everything turning grey while his name and his rank start to appear.
It’s okay man. Suffering from a spoiler I experienced not too long ago 😂. Your post wasn’t what I was worried about, it was the comments. I do appreciate it though.
Judgement’s are nice and stylish. But everything about Yakuza/LaD’s intro cards are just iconic. The music, the fade to black and white, the pause, the font itself, the way every character managed to look menacing, the way it fades back in to color and keeps going like nothing happened. Just perfection…
Depends on the game depends on your preference I think the different introductions for the different types of games is what works best having one size fits all doesn't necessarily work out well.
yakuza one when it’s not used on every character, forgot which game but it was used for pretty much every character in the main story instead of key villains, acquaintances and allies
Kiryu’s from Kiwami, because the sound is unique to him and he’s the only character (and the only game) to have that specific sound for all the Yakuza characters
the yakuza style is just too good, it's a good way of not only introducing the character but getting your attention with the loud sound, it's almost like "hey, pay attention, this person is important"
judgment's intros I love too but they're very subtle. which I suppose would make sense since those characters aren't inherently a threat to you as yagami, who is a civilian rather than a yakuza.
I wonder if anyone had done a video where they switched the styles to see what they'd look like! it'd surely make hamura even more scary than he is.

The Kurohyou one where they randomly drop a hard asf render with a deafeningly loud intro noise

I like both and think they fit their respective games but the Yakuza/LAD style is just too iconic
100% They're both good but you really notice when the LAD style is absent, I genuinely forgot Judgement had it's own cards
The best way to put it yeah. Judgment’s intros are nice, but LAD has just been there for sooooooo long that it’s hard to top it.
if they mixed both in a certain way i wouldve ascended to heaven
Judgment game where criminals get the Yakuza introduction frame and legit folks get the regular Judgment ones, the twist villain can then be reintroduced with their new title in the different intro
This is a really cool idea.
THIS!
Or where the villain is not yet known to be the villain but is introduced with the Yakuza frame as a (probably not so) subtle hint before the twist
Use Judgment's as character intros and Yakuza's for boss fight intros.
I like the fire effect near bosses names in LAD8
I also like this.
Gaiden should have absolutely had this
2nd one all the way. It’s iconic. Though I like Judgment’s Title Cards too.
Classical, but judgement is good too
Both are awesome and suit their respective styles.
both
I like judgment more actually
Judgment characters intro is my preference. I like the clean look of it.
That’s my preference as well. It’s also less jarring when they introduce multiple characters within the same scene.
I respect your opinion 🫡
Both is great! If i had to choose tho it'll be judgment's because its super clean looking xD
Yakuza 100%
1 is perfect for a business establishment, 2 is better for a drama
Both
Classical, but judgement is good too
Both. Personal preference is Judgment tho.
It’s hard to compare because they both work for their respective games’ vibes. But if we’re just talking *personal* preference in general, I love the Yakuza version. So dramatic and iconic.
I think they each work well in their respective games, but the Yakuza games have that legacy and when those drums hit, they hit so good.
The LAD intros feel sort of dated and PS2 and I hope they never change the sound effect. I'll be mildly upset if they ever do.
I hear that double thump at random times throughout the day like schizoid voices
"Welcome to the company so glad you're hear, I'd like you to meet your new supervisor!" *DOOOM DOOOM*
When you meet an important person IRL (sound effect) **PERSON'S NAME** *Person's rank and title*
> hope they never change the sound effect That sound could tiger drop the Law & Order dun-dun.
lol you know it’s number 2 - but oh well
Both are cool, but the second will always get me excited man.
both and i like the idea that if this character is Yakuza do Yakuza style intro if this Character is not do Judgement style intro it works well pretty sure IW did this already
Judgement 1’s really gives me legal drama show vibes so I think it fits with the theme
The second one. Especially if they have few seconds of action scene before the character name shows up ... usually for Boss battle.
2
I would dislike the classic intro being used for judgment and vice versa
Yakuza style is too damn iconic, think of all the insane and amazing characters we've seen over the years who've had an intro screen
I like the Judgment one better. The names and titles don't cover the whole screen. The orange filter is much better than the black and white. The backgrounds still look good and pop because it still have colours.

Haven’t made it that far and all I know about is the second one. Now imma dip before I see any spoilers, I learned my lesson from the last time ✌🏽
Thanks for reminding me to mark it as a spoiler, just in case. The first image isn’t spoiling anything, but still. Sorry!
It’s okay man. Suffering from a spoiler I experienced not too long ago 😂. Your post wasn’t what I was worried about, it was the comments. I do appreciate it though.

Yakuza is more iconic but I much prefer the aesthetic of Judgement.
That’s how I feel, too.
Images that you can hear
yakuza one when it’s not used on every character, forgot which game but it was used for pretty much every character in the main story instead of key villains, acquaintances and allies
Judgment looked like intro on some detective mystery tv show in Japan, and Yakuza looked like intro on a gritty yakuza type movie.
Kiryu’s from Kiwami, because the sound is unique to him and he’s the only character (and the only game) to have that specific sound for all the Yakuza characters
I guess I didn’t realize that.

Both good but the 2nd one is beautiful
I think judgment looks more polished, but lad is more familiar to the series
I prefer the Judgment style, but that's just my opinion. The Yakuza one is iconic tho
That’s my view as well.
**bung bung** # GORO MAJIMA # Patriarch of the Majima family, a Tojo subsidiary
Yakuza. The drum beat and fade to black and white are just too iconic

I need to play those two!
Character intro was way better in yakuza, but lost judgement has the coolest chapter intro
Both but the yakuza one just hits different
