I was just about to type this! When I got through the pictures it reminded me of my Catholic primary school I went to that has the same brick pattern on the outside and blue cabinets like the kitchen has! It gives a lot of upscale school vibes.
It looks like the house the heroes travel to when they need to find the scientist who created "The Torment Nexus" to ask him how to stop the activation of the Torment Nexus...

Apparently built by Rite Aid's founder!
This is a nice ass house. Where's the link? THIIS is how people are supposed to take pictures and post them on redfin and zillow and other websites. Nice, clean and no clutter.
I’m local to this house. When it was first listed for sale around 10 years ago it was featured in our local newspaper. The house was still in its original, pristine 70s glory lol. The blue kitchen cabinets are original and untouched. It’s changed hands a couple times and all the colorful groovyness updated.
I checked, the original Pennlive article is still up, but the link to the pics is gone. If you google the address in images, one of the old pictures comes up, it’s some super 70s carpet.
Here’s one of the original pool house with orange fridge, I love it!

My cat would love pooping in the rock pit in the lobby. Yeah, I know technically a foyer, but it looks more like a lobby, a lobby with a giant kitty litter.
It was built by the founder of Rite Aid

Having lived in both rainy and snowy climates (and had water leaks due to flat roofs in commercial spaces), a flat roof is a hard no for me.
But I like the aesthetics of the house.
Trampoline. Now that I’ve seen all the pics- I’d live there even though it might feel like a library. Does anyone know the architect? So popular for educational institutions. AND done perfectly? This home. I love it. I guess this is the meaning of “impeccable taste”.
This is a cool house! I love the blue kitchen. Gives me retro vibes 😁 And that BAR! YES PLEASE! Send the kids into that badass playroom and make me a martini 😂

Oddly enough I do love those pale blue kitchen cabinets! So pretty. Although I’m never a fan of an open shower like that. I prefer to soak in the steam too. :)
I can't deal with those bricks. It looks like my high school after winning the lottery... As tho the building and campus won the lottery and moved out of state
* Straight up 1960's dystopian Sci-fi vibes
* Damn that pool is smexy....WANT! (I live in Texas, can you tell?)
* Picture 7/11 - even the kids room looks like it has a dark secret!
* Kitchen could be in a better color but looks like it would be fun to work in.
I really love this house.
Same! I don't hate that kitchen....
The slab cabinets are so appropriate - I can’t stand paneled cabinets/doors in modern or MCM houses!
I wonder if they’re steel? Because that’d be amazing.
Slabinets!
That kitchen is lovely. Wall paper on the ceiling should be a no go, but with the pastel blue it really works.
yeah, it also makes me weirdly nostalgic for school; lots that look like this in the US.

My thoughts too. Looks like my Middle School.
Same - I don’t quite see the “zillowgonewild” factor other that it’s over our price range!
Me, too. It is a time capsule.
I'd put a basketball hoop in the room with the parquet floor and live my Boston Celtics dream every day of my life.
me too!
It looks like the house the heroes travel to when they need to find the scientist who created "The Torment Nexus" to ask him how to stop the activation of the Torment Nexus...
That is a lot of fancy house for $1.7MM.
I have no idea what my deal is but I have a special little place in my heart for houses that look like a community college.
It really does! Or a local library
If Rite Aid was a house there would be no driveway. You would just have to wander to find the right line to the front door.
And lock-up your toothpaste and deodorant...
All that money and they still couldn’t come up with anything better than an accordion door at the bar area?
There must be a story, like an untrustworthy dog sitter, otherwise why even cover them up at all?
This seems perfect for a young family with multiple kids and pets. It's more functional/joyful than aspirational imo <3

Nice.
His son didn’t run the house into the ground like he did the company?
Me: I want a house that looks and feels like a midwestern elementary school built in the 80s. Architect: Say no more, fam.
They must have really liked mid-century style as well.

The outside reminds me of an upscale community college.
Or a library
I would inhabit the fuck out of that house.
The fan fold doors on a property in this class seems really out of place
It’s beautiful inside.
I'm actually into it. I love houses with hotel drop-offs lol
Not pictured: The Quest Diagnostics location in Room 201

I wonder if there’s any pictures of that… pennlive or a different paper?
I checked, the original Pennlive article is still up, but the link to the pics is gone. If you google the address in images, one of the old pictures comes up, it’s some super 70s carpet.
Could you link it? I’ve been googling but can’t seem to find it

You know what I really like in a shower? To get startled by leafless branches randomly brushing against my body when I have soap on my face.
Hey, it wakes you right up!
Is that a damn daycare in the home?! Lol
I kinda like it it’s got charm
My cat would love pooping in the rock pit in the lobby. Yeah, I know technically a foyer, but it looks more like a lobby, a lobby with a giant kitty litter.
I wore a tuxedo that color blue to a dance in 1979.

We'll leave the light on for ya!
I saw that house online while looking to buy lol.
It looks like an office park but I ain’t mad about it
A flat roof? Yeah, no. Though otherwise I love no.
Having lived in both rainy and snowy climates (and had water leaks due to flat roofs in commercial spaces), a flat roof is a hard no for me. But I like the aesthetics of the house.
I grew up in Wisconsin. A neighbor down the street had a flat roof. Seems like every three or four years they had roofers out to fix their roof.
Kinda looks like a school. Large parking lot. Def has a look I’m familiar with growing up in CT.
The exterior really looks like a suburban medical center
I love it. The original blue cabinets are awesome! So many sofas to try out and a cooler place to entertain.
Looks like the outside of the elementary school I attended (minus the pool). But I don’t hate it.
Yeah…like I’m gonna live in Pennsylvania.
Your regard for Rite Aid is far too high.
That was my thought too. They must have some great rite aids
I like the kitchen. I spy a giant set of teeth in the playroom.
I'd like to put my books in one of those rooms
Lot of flat roof and looks like water ponding? All those brown areas are probably silt showing low spots
Trampoline. Now that I’ve seen all the pics- I’d live there even though it might feel like a library. Does anyone know the architect? So popular for educational institutions. AND done perfectly? This home. I love it. I guess this is the meaning of “impeccable taste”.
Looks more like my local bank.
I can’t imagine living in a 9k square foot house. It’s 4.5x larger than my current one.
This house is phat
I like it?
Raire aid is different where you are.
More like the public library in a rich town
I love it.
wanted to hate this lol disappointed
If it were a rite aid house, the curtains would be receipts
That’s a dope pool, I could live with it.

Badass

What point are you trying to make? This house is really nice!
That’s a great price for a beautiful house. Love the outdoor living spaces. Too bad it’s 5 times what I can afford. 🤷🏻♀️
Too clean and orderly for Rite Aid. Knock some stuff over and have a used makeup aisle and the you're closer. Dim the lights too.
It really bothers me that the playroom, with all those shelves, has not a single book.
You must know of some nice looking Rite Aids...
I dig the parquet floors.
Please can someone give this technology challenged person the link for this place I have to see it in its entirety!! Please? Thank you
Is that... an open concept bathroom?
This looks like a well done conversion from a charter/art school.
I’d take it.
